Service Above Self
Thanks go out to everyone that came out and participated in Scavenger Hunt 2018 this past Saturday. We would like to thank Armen Babajanian at Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas for allowing us to use the parking lot as home base for this event. We would also like to thank all the individuals and companies that donated items for this event.

If you did not make it out, you missed a lot of good food provided by the San Antonio Sentinels Riding Club. If you did not get to participate in the Scavenger Hunt, you missed an opportunity to visit and take photos of 132 locations and unique items. We hope everyone has a chance to participate in this event when it is held in the future. Special thanks go out to Stefanie McAliley and Jayne Propst from our Rotary club in coordinating this very unique and fun event.vent.
San Antonio Northeast Rotarians Dan Clark and Jayne Propst participated on Saturday, August 11th in a bed build with Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Dr. Eddie Arnold and his staff have quite the assembly line set-up for the construction of these beds. There were six beds built with this service project, that was part of an Eagle Scout project. The generator on the right in the photo below was purchased by Jayne with contributions made by Rotarians of the Sand Springs, Oklahoma Rotary Club and our own San Antonio Northeast Rotary Club.

There will be more bed builds to come in the future. Jayne is trying to organize a bed build with volunteers from multiple Rotary clubs. This is a great way to give back to the community. Sleep in Heavenly Peace is made up of a group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling and delivering top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need.
